Leeds Children's UniversityTM works with local schools to provide exciting and innovative voluntary learning
activities for children aged 7- to 14-year-olds.
The Children's UniversityTM (CU) Trust is managed through a network of over 100 local Children's Universities. At the heart of its work is the ambition to raise aspirations, boost achievement and foster a love of learning. It enables young people to make the most of their abilities and interests, regardless of the background into which they were born.
Leeds Children's UniversityTM was launched as a pilot scheme in November 2014, involving five schools and over 400 children.
As well as events in their own schools, children have had the opportunity to participate in Super Saturday events at Leeds Children's UniversityTM. In addition, 36 children were invited to meet James Milner at Leeds Trinity on the day he was announced as Leeds Children's UniversityTM Chancellor.
