Keyboard club is led by Miss Crawley, a musician and music teacher from Art Forms on a Tuesday and Thursday from 3.15 – 4.00pm for children in Years 5 and 6. In this club the children learn to play the basic chords of C, F, G Am, Em, D, Dm, A and B. They also learn how to read treble clef notes and prepare songs to perform in concerts at Christmas and Easter.
As the children progress they begin to use the programmed rhythms and voices on the keyboard. They work from specially written keyboard books and complete skills that result in receiving a Red, Orange or Yellow award.
Keyboard club has a charge of £60 per year in line with the other instrumental lessons provided in school by specialists.
